Who we are
AEROS is a Norwegian technology company. Org. no. 937501463 · St. Olavs vei 9, 4631 Kristiansand, Norway · kontakt@aeros.no. Our Norwegian store is aeros.no; our Swedish store is se.aeros.no.
What this campaign is
We are raising money to build a phone that does not exist yet. It is drawn from scratch — not an existing model with our name on it. The campaign runs on our own site, not on a crowdfunding platform.
There is one way to back it:
- Reservation ($399) — a reserved phone. A phone in your name. The full amount comes off the final price when collected. Reservations are fulfilled first, in pledge order.
- Contribution (any amount from $25) — no phone. A contribution is charged when you give it and is not refundable — it funds the work whatever the outcome. It does not reserve a phone, does not hold a place in line, and carries no reward. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
A reservation holds a future phone. It is not the purchase of a finished product.
Earlier tiers, no longer offered. Until August 8, 2026 the campaign also offered a $49 place in line. Existing places in line keep everything they were promised: their numbered place and its date, founder pricing locked before the specifications are final, buying that opens in waves in line order (a place that is not used in its wave rolls into the next wave and is never lost), and collection only when production is fully funded — cancel anytime before that, one click. Deposits paid before July 28, 2026 additionally keep the terms they were bought under, including counting toward the phone. Contributions already given keep theirs: collected when given, not refundable — they fund the work whatever the outcome, and do not include a phone.
How pledging works — nothing is charged today
A reservation does not charge your card. A pledge is a commitment, dated the moment you make it — that date is your place in line. Existing places in line from the earlier tier work the same way.
- Collection happens only when production is fully funded — when total backing on the campaign page reaches $500,000. You then receive a secure payment link by email to complete your backing. Your place keeps its original date.
- We confirm the final price and the final specifications before collection — you decide then, with all of it in front of you.
- You can cancel your pledge at any time before collection — one click in your confirmation email, no questions asked.
- A pledge that is not completed after collection opens, including reminders, is treated like an unused place: it rolls back, and the line moves on.
One goal, and the refund guarantee
The campaign has one goal, shown on the campaign page at all times: $500,000 — the number that makes production safe to start. It pays for three things, in order: tooling and the design lock (about $220,000), FCC and CE certification (about $130,000), and the first production run (about $150,000).
There are no milestones in between, and nothing is collected along the way: pledges are collected once, when the goal is reached — or never. Reaching $500,000 is what makes it safe to begin.
- Until the goal is reached: nothing has been charged, and you can cancel your pledge at any time — one click, from your confirmation email.
- If $500,000 is not reached by December 31, 2027: every pledge expires automatically. No action needed, nothing paid.
What happens after funding — please read this part
Reaching the goal is when pledges are collected — and that money goes straight into tooling. Moulds get cut, the design is locked, and it is spent. It cannot be un-spent.
From collection your backing is committed to the project. We cannot refund it on request, and if we never reach production we will not be able to give it back. What we will do is publish exactly where every dollar went.
We would rather lose your backing than have you misunderstand that paragraph.
Two exceptions survive collection, and we fund them ourselves:
- If we materially change the price or the specifications, you can take a full refund instead of continuing.
- If the final country, carrier and network band list does not include your network, you can take a full refund.
Payment and delivery
- A reservation is not charged at the time of backing — pledges are collected only when production is fully funded at $500,000, by secure payment link to your email. The same applies to existing places in line; contributions are charged when given.
- Production runs are limited by factory minimums. Buying therefore opens in waves, in line order — reservations first, then the line. If demand exceeds a run, the next run continues down the same line.
- Deliveries start up to six months after production is funded — tooling, certification and a production run, in that order. This is an honest estimate, not a guarantee. Hardware timelines move. If ours moves, you hear it from us by email first, with reasons.
- We are certifying for the European Union and the United States. We publish the exact country, carrier and network band list before anything ships.
- The final price includes shipping.
Cancellations and refunds
- Before collection: cancel your pledge at any time — one click in your confirmation email, or email us. Nothing was charged.
- If $500,000 is not reached by December 31, 2027: every pledge expires automatically. No action needed, nothing paid.
- After collection: committed, except the two cases above.
Backers who paid by card before July 28, 2026 keep their original terms: full refund on request until collection, and automatic refund if the goal is not reached. To request one, email kontakt@aeros.no with your order number. See the Refund Policy for the detail.
Pledges placed before August 8, 2026 were placed when collection was set at the $220,000 milestone. This update only moves collection later — to full funding at $500,000 — and extends the expiry date to December 31, 2027. No pledge is charged earlier than the terms it was placed under, every place keeps its original date, and cancellation remains one click. We emailed every active pledge about this change.
Law and your rights
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Mandatory consumer protections in your own country still apply on top of them and are not limited by them. Nothing here removes a right you have by law.
Honesty clause
This is early hardware from a small team. We have done it once before — the AEROS Juno, specified, branded, running our own software, sold out in Norway. This one is harder, because this time we are drawing the phone ourselves. We would rather tell you that than not.
